School shootings often done with assault weapons though. Like Uvalde where the first wave of cops had to retreat under fire with AR-15 rounds going through walls. That’s why I favor raising purchase age to 21. Certain exceptions could be made for military service perhaps. Plus licensing of semiauto.

I know but it’s a new, I hate to say, fad. Try to find a school shooting using an AR before the 1990’s even though they were already in wide circulation and have been for years.

Let’s stick with facts and numbers. In 2004 when the federal assault weapons band ended manufacturers were prepared and they flooded the market with low quality cheap priced AR! Ownership significantly increased in the US! The ban went into effect in 1994, so yes, you’re proving the point.

This is not true at all.
No, according to available data, significantly more people are killed by firearms in the United States than by blunt force trauma; while blunt force trauma does account for a portion of homicides, firearms are the leading cause of death by violence in the country
