TOS is a weird one because it’s actually extremely radical, it just came out two years after it stopped being illegal for black people to use the same swimming pool as white people and women’s lib had only just started, so it’s radicalism no longer is so apparent.

yeah that makes sense, i definitely watch it with a contemporary eye with literally no consideration of the time it’s made in tbh!

tbh i have loved a lot of star trek as i watched it but i think the race sciencey bits and DS9 everything sticks in my head and has made me a bit ranty!!!
