I read somewhere that when you introduce a new baby to the dog, they should both be outside in the yard. Once the dog has βmetβ the baby, you all go in together. That way there are no territorial issues with the dog. They are bringing in a new member of the pack together. Makes sense to me.
A huge hug and thank you to the babies and dogs for reminding me how much love there is out there in this great country of ours.
A shout out to the wonderful parents, and of course Jessi for another of her public service contributionsπ
All of us dog owners owe a great debt of thanks to our ancestors who raised #dogs for generations with the special trait of lovingly welcoming and accepting new "pack" members.
Hi Jessi, everyday I look forward to your wonderful posts, especially on those real tough days. Thank you for taking the time to post these beauties. You support us daily by always making sure that some warm bright light gets through the cracks in our day. β₯οΈ
β€οΈI needed this today
Good doggosβ€οΈ
My parents had a CockerSpaniel 4yrs before I was born.
They ignored advise to get rid of him.
He was very protective-sleeping under the crib for my brother & I.
Later, he'd park in the hall betw our rooms+the stairs.
He'dπ―rat us out to Mom with an odd-unusual bark
My heart is melting and Iβm getting misty eyed. Whatβs the matter with me? I guess Iβm part human after all. Thank you for brightening my day up.
I am going to be a grandpa in about 5 weeks (yeah kind of excited π). My son has a dog and we have a dog. I am so looking forward to introducing them both to the grandkid!!
It's impressive that the dogs understand what these new things are, but I also get a real kick out of the babies, once they get slightly beyond newborn, being thrilled at the company of the dogs.
