Those who say that cats have no personality, are aloof, and selfish, have never bonded with them.The bond I have had with my cats wasn’t loud. It was in the morning coffee ritual, the shared silence of a book, the way they brushed their face against mine like a whispered promise: I have chosen you.
I see this and think ... why do all the cats I know are assholes. As my wife's cats look at me looking at other cats like I brought shame to their ancestors.
I wanted a cat for decades...literally...but im allergic...
and i finally got my hairless Bb and I can't imagine my life before her. She's everything I imagined being a cat mama would be and more! So much love.
Thank you for this. I lost my two cats over a decade ago. They lived long lives of 20 years. I miss them terribly every day. Unconditional love like that happens rarely in life. I am so fortunate to have had them both. Cats are indeed very special creatures. Our souls are richer for them every day.
"When your cat chooses a dog person". My husband is not a cat lover. 😞 However, it's funny bc wherever we go where there is a cat, the cat invariably chooses to sidle up to him, jump up on his lap, sit next to him; completely get his attention. It's as if they know. 😂
You know what? I have never been a cat "fan", so to speak. I've always had dogs, but since I've been on Bluesky and I see ALL these beautiful cats with personality+ ...ya'll got me rethinking my life❣️😺😍
