And this is true about so much more than art. IMO a key turning point for people is the light bulb moment: “oh, wow, i can make/do things!” – an impulse which so much of our society tries to tamp down (if not outright obliterate).

What bugs me about the intentional devaluing of art by tech is that almost anyone can actually learn how to art. Like, it takes time, and failures abound, but the myth that some people just pop out of the womb with a can or can't stamped on their heads is a crock.
