About that, I'm rather new to this (both bluesky and generally social media) but do you assume everyone who didn't indicate their age in their bio is a minor ? Also what keeps people from lying about it ? 😐

I usually assume I’m talking to adults. But sometimes, I get comments that read like a minor has written them. I want to avoid talking to minors online, especially about hellaverse stuff. And just the honor system ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the issue with ID verification is the threat of a data leak. if bsky gets hacked then all that information would be made available. and i would not give a social media website such personal details. the only ones who need it are my banks and government accounts.
