the valve index is literally the only seamless steamvr headset. Every other headset requires some sort of app to run in the background that always seems to mess up steamvr.

The real advice would be, you can get a quest, but turn off automatic updates and do not use the default link software. Use VD, or use SteamLink, or if you’re a real freak use ALVR. But whatever you do not use meta’s Link.
