I’m in Cali and I am down with the $20.00 minimum wage increase. However, many fast food restaurants have just cut their employees hours and they are really not making anymore in wages.

Sounds good to me too, but it kind of defeats the purpose. The 20.00 minimum wage was suppose to make their income higher. Instead of retaining the same hours, and making more money (which is the point) the owner cuts their hours. These people want to make more money so they can survive.

Fast food work may be entry level and “low skill” but it is uncomfortable and can get overwhelming at times. Meanwhile, millionaires can play golf all day and complain about how much they have to pay the people who do real work.

Other countries pay their workers a decent livable wage. People only have to have one job, and have benefits such as paid sick leave, paid annual leave (4 or 5 weeks to take a holiday), paid maternity leave, and paid overtime.
Americans are getting screwed by corporate greed.
