i am trying not to use splits anywhere
so not in tmux, not in neovim, not in i3
just a single thing in view at a time like im usually forced to on my laptop

On linux, on win***s
May be a floating window for referencing stuff
I've used two 24", one vertical + one horizontal, for a few years. recently been feeling like it might be nice to go down to just one screen, for (I think) similar reasons to you
I really appreciate splits when I need to run the same command on multiple endpoints simultaneously. This is not an uncommon occurrence in my job.
But whatever works for someone! The most efficient solution is not always the right solution.
A neovim plugin that just somehow gives me access to searchable docs for everything would be amazing 😅
And kind of angry
I feel like I need to subdivide my workspace just to hold my attention.
If I need to watch a process while I execute another, or keep a checklist, or edit the test execution, unless I keep a physical (yuck) notepad at the same time, I'll forget my place
I need to work on my workflow.
as for my WM (sway, which is not a WM but still) i never use splits. knowing how to use workspaces efficiently is far more powerful
As an aside, never tried i3, wound up on awesomewm instead.
