The Iranian regime has form for arresting young comely foreign women. They do it knowing they make the best hostages to bargain with. I feel very sorry for Ms Sala, but she is incredibly stupid for going anywhere near Iran.

What the hell was she doing in Iran? There should be zero reason for anyone who is not a local citizen to be in these countries such as Iran, or Russia, or China. They’re going to get disappeared.

She hasn't been officially charged with anything, but she is being held in a prison known for holding political dissidents. Of course the Italian ambassadors are working to resolve the situation.
