The designer of our logo usually lets anyone use the mark and even provides the digital file so long as it’s being used for a good purpose and not just as a way to sell products or as a design on a weapon for example.

At some point early on (before I was involved), they chose the name because the original group of young adults and teens came from working-class families. Therefore, none of them could donate any significant money, but they could donate their time, which they knew would be far more valuable.

To this day, we never ask for nor collect any money. Instead, everyone donates their time and expertise. On occasions such as setting up a makeshift soup kitchen, we coordinate in such a way that volunteers directly purchase whatever food they will serve.
