There's 0 reason to trust proton pass over Mozilla with your passwords. Both have worked with the police when given warrants. If you're concerned about security over convenience, self host a vaultwarden instance.
I think you re referring to the metadata and ip logs given under warrants. Not actual content of proton pass. Password managers in browsers are very much prone to attacks.
Infact, using a built in browser password manager in many ways is more secure, the passwords are being generated inside the browser which is more convenient which means you won't be lazy and use a universal password that was likely leaked from an insecure website.
