Timelines can vary pretty substantially by case and court, but yes "long time" is a fair description overall

I would expect a public report, yes. Otherwise there's no reason for them wrapping up the prosecution so early

I'm less optimistic about all the evidence being made public. My guess is they only do a report, and say the report speaks for itself

A license wouldn't work, even broadly worded, because the licensor would still own the thing being licensed

You'd need to do the equivalent of a quitclaim deed, disclaiming all rights in the thing without reservation

I'll try to look at it some in the near future. If a 12(b) motion was just denied, we're looking at probably 12+ months to get to summary judgment briefing, easily. 6 more to brief it and rule.
