i thought it was funny when people were debating whether or not banana fish counts as BL when in reality it doesn't matter because banana fish sucks and no one should read it

we were considering reading it for book club so i'm really curious what's bad about it (i know absolutely nothing about it and if i have to suffer thru another shit series i will perish 😭)
this is subjective but to me it absolutely constitutes "trauma porn" in that one of the main characters is a CSA survivor who continues to get retraumatized throughout the series for no good reason. there's more to it but i can't say without spoiling the ending but it just left me with a very bad>
