i'm a little jealous of people who know their stomachs well enough to know exactly what they're craving. for me, it's a vague "i want something crispy" or "i wanna eat something greasy" but it's never specific foods

The thing for me is that I might not be hungry at all but my tongue is craving "flavor". So I'll walk around in continuous mild frustration wishing that, for instance, the Cool Ranch Doritos spice was sold separately in a jar so that I could skip the chip and get straight to the goodie.
It "helps" if you just eat a pretty limited set of stuff like I do. Hungry for nuggets, or chocolate, or chili & rice, or chocolate, or chips, or chocolate.
Yes I was gonna say donβt ever eat an international/rare food because when the craving comes it does not understand things like βoverseas.β I have been craving a certain Italian lemon hard candy for 4 years.
Honestly same. I thought I want one food but I regret eating it. I suddenly crave for another food right after. It feels easier if someone gives you random food instead of choosing yourself.
From April 1st of last year, until partway through June I ate Arby's Crispy Chicken sandwiches nearly every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I stopped because they changed them. Maybe the answer to what you seek is autism π
