Why is EA so obsessed with wanting a franchise that has always been single player, multiplayer? I would not have played a multiplayer DA game, speaking as a long-time fan. #ThankYouDADevs for fighting to make the game SP.

All they know how to push out are yearly rehashed sports IPs that are built around online, ultimate team (card collection), passes, in game stores, boosters, and other monetization I’m missing surely.
Their NFL fanbase will complain about Madden every year annually but still drop $100 for the “new” Madden (collector) version which basically just gives them new card packs to rip as a bonus for the extra $40 they’re dropping yearly. There’s no actual content to further invest in with sports IPs.
any sports game content creator - they eat this up, MLBTS channels come out of hibernation seasonally for Diamond Dynasty, when baseball season ends they switch to Madden, there’s a niche for them in spending their ad money to prop up these ultra monetized game modes, the EAs of the world love it
This is how I feel about WWE since 2K took over too, they almost got it right with 2K19 but it’s backslid ever since and now 25’ is fully embracing their MyPlayer “the City” motif with “The Island” which means it’ll all be a VC/monetization grind going forward.
Friends of mine ask why I have just stopped making the WWE 2K content I loved doing from 14-23 off and on and when I bought 24 why I barely touched it, the game was literally broken the majority of its actual game cycle & meanwhile 2K was blocking mod support & fighting its community in the shadows
My kid loves sports, so for anyone that into sports they just deal with it or overlook it because hey it’s a new game (really just a pretty roster update with a new cover athlete)
Multiplayer wouldn't make any sense. Single player games have a good sized audience. I feel like EA was saying the same thing when the acquired Star Wars and then were shocked when the Jedi games exceeded expectations. Going multiplayer isn't going to get the multiplayer fans

Few actual QoL updates or new content/modes.
So a new single player game baffles them.
Each game has been more of a blatant $$ grab (and w bloated file sizes) with fewer and fewer worthwhile updates
How do players tolerate those menus and UI?
It just seems actively hostile to the user.
The multiplayer model is perpetual puchase perpetual play.
The development cost is ~ the same.
But most importantly, multiplayer games can acrue over time turning a loss into a win. Singleplayer games dont do that often.
