Amorim has talked about playing with 'his style' right from kick-off against Ipswich. Are there any areas that you think will excite fans vs. ones you think will look a bit rough as the players acclimatize?
There seems to be an overreaction or finger pointing at Rashford.
In your last pod you mentioned his poor form in previous years before his 30 goal season. As a stats person myself, context is everything. He ran his body to the ground and carried multiple injuries in those seasons. Some balance pls
That doesn’t excuse bad performances either. Shots are down. Dribbles are down etc. but we’re looking at a different player now to what we had when he was in his teens and early 20s. The minutes, injuries and misdirection from the club haven’t helped.
I totally agree. That was basically what we were saying on the podcast - he might just not be the player he was anymore. We really weren't finger pointing, just assessing the situation as it is
The trips over the international break are case in point.
Salah was at Disneyland
Case watching the same game
Rash got most of the heat even though none of those players did anything wrong.
long-winded q but what’s the thing that you’re most worried bout wrt Amorim?
I’ll give you a bit on where I’m coming from….sometimes a perceived strength (single-minded, flexible, charming/tough personality, etc.) can quickly feel like the thing that’s going against a plyr/mgr in our recent history
is there something in the games you’ve caught/something he’s said that could be a bit dicey in that sense?
Ofc, there might be other concerns that might have nothing to do with this, but I’d like to know if there’s something that you’d keep an eye on? Just so we’re all prepared ig
