Another ASMS abstract extension... did something happen recently that means less people want to/can go? Does @asms.org collect metrics on international delegates?

Especially in a city like Baltimore, where federal government offices are often less than an hour away by car.
Hopefully Europe gets together and works out a more stable solution for everyone.
1. Yes, such metrics come from the member survey. Recent examples are at https://www.asms.org/about/society-demographics
2. Being in metro DC, where even if you yourself are not a fed employee you know a zillion people who are, makes it a little weird to see perspectives from farther out in the US or internationally.
Anecdotally a lot of folks I normally would want to see can’t make it, but it’s more of an unlucky scheduling issue than something broader… well, and then there’s the whole likely/indefinite travel restrictions for feds. I’m planning on being there if possible, sans poster/talk, maybe workshop only.
Many non-US attendees I've spoken to are exploring other conferences this year. Those with funding are thinking about EuPA/ HUPO. I look forward to attending ASMS again in the future.

Who knows what the US will be like in 1 week, let alone 4 months?
