They hate us but not because of MAGA. They hate “US” for standing silently, only taking half measures to stop him. Not fighting against gerrymandering or for abortion rights, fair immigration, or voting rights cuz “not my problem”. They hate us for ignoring it for too long.

I hear you, but let me counter. I still believe in the human element. There were times during the cold war where we still reached out to the citizens of Russia and for a time we were friends after. This is all the doing of leaders with awful agendas. It will pass. It might be ugly, but it will.
