I fucking hate the Wolves. Bunch of annoying Mary Sue furries but unlike the blueberries or the Blood Angels everyone ignores that fact because when GeeDubs were distributing the warrior archetypes the Wolves won the goddamn lottery by getting the most unique and beloved one (Viking warriors).

Ultras and DAs are tricky. Ultras were stuck fighting in their own backyard but gave their all and DAs had big Ws and big blunders

Raven Guard literally hard carried. Basically the only reason there are Space Marines in 40k is that one Raven Guard saved the Magna Mater need to make Space Marines. Another Raven Guard basically prevented the Mechanicum from falling entirely to Chaos and giving Horus more forces to throw at Terra.

A lot of this is the treatment they've gotten in the Hours Heresy, which is now their biggest lore. I read the Space Wolves omnibus before the Heresy started, and they were less-obviously Vikings and more nuanced. But then you read the Heresy and their primarch is just this huge weird asshole
