I was just thinking about Uruguay. I heard it is safe and stable. How is the cost of living, housing and healthcare? What is your favorite thing about Uruguay?
Cost of living is one if not the most expensive in Latam. However, the combo of healthcare, education, economic and political stability are bar none in the region.

We have been planning on visiting Uruguay before we move there. We have been taking Spanish classes for 3 weeks now but, I heard there is a strong Italian influence, what do you think?
There is. A bit less so when compared to Argentina.
Still the language IS spanish. The specific type of spanish is called "Rioplatense" as in "next to Río de la Plata". i.e There are no "tu" or "usted", it's "vos".

Weed is legal and you can get it in the pharmacy if you are registered (though it's on high demand).
Also: Gay marriage, trans rights, public health and education, capital city is walkable and with decent public transport.
