Notting Hill, mid ‘80s, day off on tour, we wandered into a corner shop and spotted this tucked away on a shelf. Eyes agog - ‘4 cans each, please?’ The West Indian shopkeeper looked at us, pale, wan and underfed - ‘Don’t be foolish - just one tin each’.
He was right🥴
The wife got me a 4 pack of these cause they didn’t have ordinary Red Stripe for an afternoon BBQ.

This was the only beer on offer at the 3rd Eye Centre during a festival of performance art in 1990. Blurry memories, but we did (apparently) convince Glasgow Art School Ents Convenor that we were an actual band with a cult following. Got a gig. Which came as a surprise when we found out.
