Because she sadly, statistically speaking at least IS the worst starter and that has made a LOT of people hate Chikorita q.q some hate more since also the tallest. I have a multiway fav tie and Chikorita is part of said tie, so I get angy when people trash our beloved pear.
A lot of people have been doing it since gen 5 at least. I don't play competitively but watching people who do on places like Youtube and NicoNico is fun at times.
No one uses this argument against feraligatr who is also one of the worst. Funny people really hate on primorina despite being top 3. Played every gen I don’t buy the argument that viability matters at all to people
Primo gets hate for being "ugly" and anyone familiar with said hate knows this. I've been playing since Gen 1 too and sadly for some people it DOES matter and it's just fracturing this community further. It doesn't take much looking to find this and especially if you've been here the whole time. :(
