I am raising 2 boys & it’s a constant battle against algorithms that seem predisposed to surface hateful content. I am so thankful they have found a YouTube creator ecosystem, folks like Kurtis Conner, Danny Gonzalez, that show a kinder masculinity. Whether it will make a difference in the long run🤷‍♀️

It's a whole societal change thing. Progressives make progress, then the right pushes back because they're scared the status quo is being upended. See Reaganism, satanic panic and lack of response to the AIDS crisis in the 80s. Except with internet algorithms now, it's targeted, so it's x1000.

Pretty sure it's how many men are choosing to get back at people, largely women, they feel slighted or some such thing by. Even if slights are real, there are more productive ways to respond.
