Yeah. It's a pack deal. This world is fucked and you not supposed to die but it happened with no way to rollback, so either take compensation or leave. It's like when gacha game can't finish on time so they give you apologem, which you can take and continue or you quit.

I'd say it's more like you might not care much about alive it dead, just enjoy thing you like while you still can.

Using his expertise to build tools and help the people for the start. Getting some tech tree upgrade. Then maybe building coil gun and then exotic rock powered icebreaker ship
