As a genre fiction writer, I get really tired of the "well, x wrote this this so obviously they're a monster". Yes, sometimes awful people write awful things. And sometimes they write beautiful things. Writing horror doesn't make you a horrible person. This is not a good way to look at things.

Personally, I have thought of horror story scenarios, but I get creeped out. . .
Also, horror folks in general have been the sweetest and kindest people I know.
Actually they wrote about the brain functions for victims of this stuff and slowly showed the negative psychological effect on his development...
And it's based on their own trauma.
