i think he’d start it and manage the basic stitches but the first time he’d attempt a magic circle he’d throw it across the room and swear so much the neighbours would put in a noise complaint then never try it again
first thing i made was a doll using a kit and it took me so long to do the arms that were 6 stitches into a magic circle and i almost gave up so many times until i realised i was doing it inside out which is why the stitches kept getting tighter. still haven’t gone back to amigurumi out of spite
that's so real i was stubborn but in the opposite way because i was so determined to make a kirby that nothing was going to stop me from figuring out magic circles LOL
if someone tells him to make something simple first i agree but i can also see him immediately attempting a star blanket or like, a complicated edgy black sweater and then getting frustrated and quitting forever
