Seems the main problem is site being flood prone & limited access and ascape if it did. With extremes of weather due to CC Council is probably erring on side of caution.
It is one of my old-person complaints that "iconic," which once drew highly specific meaning from the sacred status of icons, now means anything two or more people recognize.
