Always saw the ending of the fairytale as quite beautiful. When we love someone, truly, their happiness is our happiness, even if it is found in someone else's arms. The mermaid's selfless sacrifice set her free from heartbreak and let the Prince have his happy ending, too. 🤔♥️

I'm the opposite.

I grew up loving the Disney version, but I strongly prefer the original because of the bittersweet melancholy (and queer subtext in it).
