No. There are a shitload of liberals who bought them without thinking anything about Musk. They just wanted to help the environment. That’s the vast majority of owners.
One of Australia's biggest YouTubers, Ozzyman, just publicly sold his Tesla and posted a picture of himself giving it the finger. It could really impact his following and the money he makes. He's a local in my town and I'm so proud.
I mean, I'll give some allowance to people that bought it when it wasn't apparent he was a complete monster. I bought his hype at the beginning too. And I'm betting between they're safety rating and their public head goose-stepping around, they're probably hard to sell these days.
I'm just acknowledging the economic realities. If you're unable to sell your car for enough money, a lot of people are locked out of getting a new one regardless of how they feel about Musk. I'm sure there's a lot of folks that feel kinda stuck right now.
I’m not equipped to give well-off folks financial advice re: the luxury auto market, but they should still absolutely feel shame with daily compounding interest the longer this goes on.
Fair, Tesla's aren't exactly for the poor. But I do know people in mid-range economic positions that have gone electric (thankfully NOT Tesla) that would be kinda screwed if the car became a Nazi badge.
But you're right, if you bought a Tesla, you can probably afford to replace it.

If you think Tesla drivers know or care what’s going on, I have some amazing crypto deals with “ape” in the name to *consider* selling to you.
