Sadly, I don't think I could recommend this path any more. It would likely require a video card upgrade at the very least, and possibly your processor(s) as well. The cost would be a significant portion of the price of a new/used Mini, which is orders of magnitude faster, and a fraction of ⚡ to run.
There's a few ways it could be repurposed, or run a different OS even, but the energy consumption is out the window. The server grade chips they used in these beasts are from the era before efficiency was in anybody's tech vocabulary.
They should have kept this design current, instead of trashcan.
Just keep it till it dies then. Still trying to find a way to use those old Harmon-Kardin round clear speakers from an old old Mac. I have a Mac graveyard at this point, most of which will still fire up and work!
