I can so relate! We've raised 14, yes 14 since 1989. Not at the same time. The most we had at the same time was five. And since dogs are almost always smarter than kids it has been a challenge! We only have one left. She's almost 14 and my Vet bills for her rival the national debt!
My little man was this size when I brought him home 4.5 years ago. He'd curl up in my neck & hair to sleep 💘 I sure miss the itty bitty stage of puppyhood.
I have a soon to be 16yr old boi who has NEVER eaten out of the food bowl. He's a Chihuahua who runs to the food, takes what he can in his mouth then beats feet to his bed and eats it there. Couldn't break him of that, but made it easier on the old boi, put a small food bowl not far from his bed.
Our mini dachshund did the exact same thing her whole life! She’d grab a bit of kibble, trot off to her favorite blanket to eat it, then go back for more. We gave up trying to teach her otherwise and just joked it was her way of staying fit - burn 3 calories for every 2 eaten!
I honestly think Vinny did that because there are 5 other dogs in the house and he just wanted to make sure he got his helping! For a few yrs now, he's gotten his own bowl, but still eats in bed.
Aww, sweet baby! That’s so lovely that you picked up on what he needed and made sure he had his own cozy setup.
Our doxie grew up with a Persian cat who would NEVER lower herself to even glance at a dog’s food bowl. So there was truly no reason for the kibble parade… she was just a very special dog!
I think this clever canine deserves a rating of at least 15/10 for his creative and hilarious approach to breakfast, because clearly 12/10 just isn't enough.

But of course no yummy smells to enhance his dreams.
Fill the bathtub with meatballs and sleep in it.

🤢
He's at least a 17/10 on a normal day. In this economy he's about 42/10.

Think it’ll sell?
