They probably will delay the announcement to next year due to development struggles. They probably want to avoid announcing the game too early only to kill hype by delaying it several times.
They kinda ran into that issue with Survive. The game was announced and then sat in development hell for a long time because of the age rating (from what I know) it's likely they want to avoid a repeat of that scenario
They probably realized that that added to the game under performing despite it's generally good reception (from people who didn't blatantly ignore that it says Visual Novel all over the marketing)
Again that's just speculation on my part, don't take it as gospel, but they did already miss most of the announcement periods companies shoot for so it does seem more likely they will wait till next year.

At this point I'd just be happy for a title and a key visual. At the absolute LEAST. We've known an Olympus XII in the Digital World story since Hackers Memory. Give us SOMETHING Bandai, I beg of you 🤣🤣
It has become somewhat of a joke that we're still waiting. I understand Habu no longer being there slowed things but I am now low key panicked that Story isn't going to be good. And I just want a really good Digimon RPG again. I can only play CS and NO for so much longer 🤣
The best we've got is this tease at this point for anything coming up. Probably will be disappointing, but we shall see.
Other than that Digimon Con is the next best hope.

Yea they are doing things here and there but not enough with the stuff we REALLY care about like the games and anime. Hopefully one day soon we get some news we can all get super hype about!
Honestly if they could at least give us a “the game is still being worked on” I could probably last until 2026. Also if they could say what platform the games coming out on, since they said it was going to be for the ps4 originally but now a ton of digimon games are on pc and switch and ps5 is out

this is so typical, and to be honest, its what ive come to expect. last time i actually watched the annual digimon con on youtube, all they do was showcase the vital bracelet stuff, and then a teaser about digimon seekers at the time. its rough being a digimon fan, sometimes!
I hope it's a matter of, We gotta make the game great so we take all the time we need. And not so much, neglecting Digimon as an IP. Doesn't feel that way sometimes tho haha
