Boniface Mwangi, one of the most visible social justice activists in Kenya, was kidnapped from his home early this morning. Boni has been calling for people to protest at the Nairobi Marathon which is happening today.

Over the last three months - since the anti-finance bill protests - there has been an alarming uptick in kidnapping and murder in the country, and a number of people who participated in the protests remain unaccounted for.
