Please consider this in the context of “unworthy victims”.

A poor country accepting financial support from a government that we don’t like isn’t intrinsically the fault of the citizens.

They don’t deserve this any more than Ukraine deserves being bombed.

The problem here is that the people in government who signed the deal get 90% of the profits. The corruption is undeniable. I blame those people. Not the common people.
