Each rescued orphan that comes through our door – no matter how briefly – reminds us of the compassion and remarkable bonds that define elephants. Askari was no exception. A member of our family for barely a month, this brave little elephant will remain imprinted on hearts forever.

When I lost Rama and Doldol I grieved and couldn't watch or read anything from Sheldrick for a while. I still tear up when I think about my Rama 😢
