I understand it too. If it helps I've just kinda stopped paying super close attention to the news and only take in like bullet notes of what's happening. Not because we should turn a blind eye to it and pretend it's not happening, it kinda annoys me that it feels like some people are doing that(1/?)
But because I also just already knew this was going to happen, so I don't feel the need to make myself feel worse from what I already expected to happen. I'm not saying we should accept this though, if anything I'm trying to be happy and better myself in spite of and because of all the bullshit.(2/?
Suffice to say, do what you can. Try engaging with your irl community and gain new skills. (I've been volunteering at an animal shelter and have picked up baking) We can't change much on a country wide scale so genuinely try and do better for your community if you can
Same here. I'm struggling to maintain my frustration with people pretending everything is normal.
I'm trying not to let my panic spread to my family before we are able to put in place my exit plan. Just gotta get my own passport first. "Secure your own mask first before assisting others"
It's been a mood for sure. Everything is chaos and you want to stay off social media but you also want to know what's going on and everywhere you look, there is is.
The world is scary which is why our safe circles are even more important.
the world is looking really bleak right now and it's hard not to internalize this. best i've been able to manage is to focus on what's immediately in front of me, try to resist the urge to isolate from friends, and stay distracted. you're not alone!
It feels like I grew up into a world that pulled the rug from under me. I'm young and practically unemployable at an age where I should start working, and so I've just been making art and writing. It's kinda been the only thing giving me purpose, so yeah. I get it.
