My friend explained to me how to change the default google search to "web search:
1 Head to settings -> manage search engines
2 Scroll to 'search site', click add
3 Fill in the following
Name: Google Web
Shortcut: "@Web"
URL: {google:baseURL}search?q=%s&udm=14
4 Find Google web, make it your default

It worked for me, but I have also switched to duckdockgo for the most part xD but if I end up on google, this does help and it takes out the "AI overview" in the top and such
