Having that first hour of the show be as great as it was only to end the show with a lame duck of a storyline is such a buzzkill. I was not out on the Deathriders as soon as others because I expected some kind of rebound given the players but its actually gotten worse.

But that is somewhat remaining true to the original ethos of AEW. The aim was to present a smorgasbord of wrestling. U take each segment as its own, hopefully u love/like the majority of it.
Having different creatives saves us from watching 2 hrs of the same thing. I hated the period when there

I think what made those times better before is that there didn't seem to be such a big divide in ideas. Things were different yeah but its a lot more stark at the moment. Maybe because the thing that seems the most out of place is the main event scene.

I disagree with the view that there wasn't a big divide in ideas in the past. There was, all the stuff relating to Cody was shat upon by certain fans and also wrestling youtubers like the Friendos and Wrestletalk.

That's the best example outside of this I can think of. I wouldn't say that one was just certain fans either. Live crowds were not reacting well to Cody's stuff. My point isn't that it hasn't happened at all, just that it hasn't been this bad often.

I think online hate towards Cody spilled over to the audience. N u know it was disingenuous, the dude had to set himself on fire n take a cutter of the top rung of a ladder, n got cheered. Some live crowd behaviour was disgusting, IMO. When they threw the weight belt back & it nearly hit Audrey,
