I had the same experience 4 days ago. The ride was terrible. Every small hole in the road felt like a mini pothole. And there was very little room in the back seat. To get my phone from my pocket, I had to twist and raise myself off the set. Definitely not impressed.
Maybe you shouldn’t rethink EVERYTHING when you go to build a car. Or at the very least circle back with the people that have been doing it for a 100 years to see if they thought of anything along the way you may have missed when you were so busy being disrupters.
That was something I didn't like about the Tesla I test drove in 2021, could feel everything in the road. Plus I didn't like the central dash monitor (my wife especially didn't like it), and the whole supply chain thing pushed back any possibility of delivery 6 months. Got the ID.4 instead.
Agree about the dash monitor! Generally I find touchscreens in cars to be less safe than analog controls. And Tesla is ALL touch. Mazda has done a lot of research in ergonomics and distraction metrics, and their cars are loaded with knobs and buttons
