Can't be too elite, I could get a pack of 14 year old JROTC kids to do a better job doing basic D&C in an afternoon. If it's not intentional, it's deeply embarrassing.

Learning to walk in a line in step is basic training shit they can drum into people too dumb to tell left from right without it written on their hands.

Claiming they can't manage that basic level of military discipline is not the positive you think it is.

My dad was a highly decorated army officer, airborne ranger, marksman...
He didn't goose-step.
No one is claiming he couldn't. Highly-trained military spent time on things other than band camp.
