Lucky, it seems like a LOT of people are moving over. It appears that it's really starting to snowball this time. Reminds me of what happened to tumblr after the sexual content ban. But yeah still really unfortunate.

JSYK this feels a lot like twitter ‘09 and back then it wasn’t about building an audience as in talking TO people. It was quality over quantity and talking WITH not AT. It was a party not a pulpit. 😃
The thing is, anyone trying to (or succeeding in) building an audience on the Internet needs to be on *everything* one way or the other. Because any one service can always pull the rug out from under.
The bitter truth is that twitter is 90% bots and bait interaction, whatever sentimentality you feel, that twitter is long gone. Better to head for greener pastures.

the twitter we once had is gone and i hate it so much. like there used to be more community on it and now it’s all rage bait and botted tweets and a fucked up algorithim that hates artists 😭😭😭

Yeah, I spent 4 years of work and building up slowly to 500 followers which I reached only a few weeks ago, Twitter ain't dead yet but I certainly need to start over here as a plan B
I’m trying to be more active on here cuz ik that app is just gonna get worse and worse but I have 2.4k followers on there 😭 I get attention there I get interactions there 😭 but here it’s like ghost town. I know I just started and this takes time but DAMN I’m impatient
I pretty much just used Twitter for Gundam and art stuff but even then its become so awful I couldnt open threads in public without fear of seeing insane racism or NSFW content. Nothing to say of the loss of blocks or the fact that theyre going to scrape the whole website for training GenAi.
