This is bizarre. I thought all the polling showed that the British public find Trump abhorrent, so sucking up to him is unlikely to be a successful electoral strategy?
For some reason the only people that the Tories seem to put any effort into wooing are strongly pro-Brexit and anti-immigration voters. Labour are beginning to do the same. The Overton window creeps ever rightward.
It does, and I can't fathom what Lab is thinking. As said elsewhere they need to say to the red wall MPs who are pushing this (and the #HeroVoter nonsense) "You did well to win, you're not going to win next time. Sorry"
If I was a Lab MP in an area with a high student vote, I'd be getting nervous.
