I used to go to the barber at dupont and davenport and it always felt so weird to sit there watching the traffic news, as if any of the people involved had ever been downtown in their life

@diannesaxe.bsky.social we should require the city to put up “Take The Transit” signs on all on-ramps in Toronto and at the border when there is construction on the TTC…it should be big and obvious…all digital signs…

I wish they'd just tear it down. I can't remember the last time I drove on it that wasn't on an inter city bus, but its always a parking lot and it makes the streets below shitty to walk on as a pedestrian.

Even the city person interviewed basically said "it sucks but what can you do?" What you can do is take transit!

I also wish politicians, city planners and the media would talk about how, even if *you* don't want to take transit, convincing/allowing *other people* to take transit is the best thing you can do to reduce traffic.

There are lots of places in Toronto that are a pain to get to on transit but it's genuinely baffling to me why anyone drives to downtown.
