It is. And worse. My father did an education program when I was in highschool and drove around educating farmers and rural residents about the harmful affects of piping their raw sewerage into streams and the river. A lot of it is more about not having the money to fix what needs done. It's all shit

And long ago during the agent orange production days they were storing the waste in drums along the river. Those started corroding and leaked into the rivers as well. They ruin wells and then offer the lowest possible amount usually without cleanup which is left to residents

Probably. What they are is poor and it colors everything. The coal mines were feeding families here so most people looked the other way or protected it from being shut down by any means necessary. Even the pipeline they purposefully laid through poor areas to offer one large lump sum for the rights

To think it is just good business but now all of our farmers are paying the price. Many won't make it through thus year due to other changes and the dumbass trade war. They are going to starve us out for sure if they get the chance.
