Not an ideal date given that we are expecting 90 mph gusts tomorrow morning. I am expecting my feeders to be quiet. I do our local garden bird survey weekly updating any larger numbers on a daily basis.

Yes. When i look up- hills surrounding the house, I see buzzards, red kites, hawks, crows, seagulls & pigeons. A success to have a predator free haven for small birds. Small bird only feeders in sheltered areas fitted with a metal canopy to offer protection. Lots of small dense shrubs and trees.

House sparrow population numbers have plummeted. Used to have flocks of sparrows. Their chirrups were music in the neighborhood. Now not one bird.
