If someone has a really strong POV ask them to document it for their peers Making them think it over will give them time to relax without hurting their ego
Also, people often fight over opinions and a code review shouldn’t have any of that. Is there a way to redirect the conversation to be factual and backed by actual engineering principles?
Hire better 😆 Healthy debate is good, it challenges all parties to qualify what they're saying. Seeing it often is good and not toxic. Where it becomes toxic is pedantic debating and getting ego involved. Remember, we go to work for money and to make the business money, a fight serves neither.
