It’s simply astonishing to me that in America, a President elect is immune from consequences. Know what other countries that happens in? Dictatorships.

Happens in most countries in the world. What consequences Boris or Liz faced. Oh yeah they lost there jobs, but make millions from media and book tours!

Nevertheless, the constitutional revision of 2007 confirmed the principle of the irresponsibility of the President of the Republic.
No action can be taken against him for acts carried out in his capacity as President, even after the end of his term.
It aims to protect the presidential office and not its holder.
And if you lived through the Iran Contra hearings or Watergate, this isn't even a first for the US.
I guess we'll know in four years when there isn't an election
Dictatorships are easy to create but require force to remove
A surfeit of indignant vocal apathy isn't the answer
Unfortunately I can offer no simple solutions
