It was beautiful and creative in it's art direction (set design, costumes, and choreography), but as a movie, it was basic.

To be clear, I loved it. But I know the academies aren't ready to recognise that kind of film as award-worthy.

I thought that Wicked was good and I really enjoyed it but it wasn’t ever a Best Film contender for me; wasn’t in my top 10 for 2024 🤷

Nothing for Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine either. Nothing for Rob Delany either.

It was the only film our whole family enjoyed in 2024 ( apart from Wallace & Gromit)

I love the assumption gong shows make objective fair decisions. They are all a farce, not sure why anyone still takes them seriously.
