That said, I'm obviously in a lot of pain and do not recommend "powering through" a flare, I usually can't! But you see I REALLY didn't want to deal with a landlord and plumber after the move from hell

I swear to god, we've run through so many. And I don't think we're doing anything WRONG (we rinse stuff before it goes in) they're just monsterously unreliable machines and should probably only be installed by folks who know what they're doing. (Two of our flood were definitely my dad's fault)
